The new Payment Gateway field lets you enable multiple payment options in one place, including Authorize, PayPal, Mollie, Stripe, Square, and Razorpay. This allows users to choose their preferred payment method and pay the amount configured in your form.

If you want to accept payments securely on your website, the Authorize.Net add-on for Everest Forms is a reliable solution. It allows your users to pay directly on your forms using credit cards without being redirected away from your site. It supports both one-time payments and recurring subscriptions, making it a flexible option for managing online transactions.

Installation #

Installation of the Everest form Authorize.net addon requires the following steps:

1. First, you will be required to purchase the Everest Forms pro plugin.
2. Once your purchase is verified, the plugin zip file will be made available to you on your WPEverest account page.
3. Next, download the Everest form pro plugin zip as well as the Authorize.net addon from your WPEverest account page
4. Then, you will be required to Install the Everest pro plugin and the Authorize.net addon through your WordPress admin dashboard. To do this, visit Plugins → Add new → Upload and then choose the downloaded zip files. Once the plugins have been installed, activate them and your addon should be enabled on your website.

Getting API Keys #

You can use either Live or Test APIs with the Authorize.net payment system. To generate the API, follow the steps below.

• Sign In to the Authorize.net account.
• If you don’t have an account, create one.
• Once you are logged in, you will see a popup from which you can toggle between live or test mode.

• You can remove the popup from the available buttons and then go to Account > Settings.

• Inside Settings, click on API Credentials & Keys. Here, you will find the necessary keys.

• You will need an API Login ID and a Transaction key. When you create an account, you will be given with both of these keys in the beginning.

In this tutorial, we assume that you have to create a new transaction key. For this, you can click on the ‘New Transaction Key‘ option and click on Submit.

After clicking on the submit button, the app will require you to put the verification key sent to your email. You can request this key by clicking on the ‘Request Pin’ button on the pop-up.

Once you’ve verified your identity, Authorize.Net will display your Transaction Key. Click the Copy to Clipboard button.

Now, after copying both the API login key and the Transaction Key, you can now connect the Everest Forms with the Authorize.net payment portal.

Setup and Configuration #

To make sure the Authorize.net addon and the Payments options work perfectly on your website, we suggest you tune its settings to fit your forms better. To open the Payments settings, visit Everest Forms → Settings through your admin sidebar. Next, click on the Payments → Payment Method section inside payments settings.

Add Authorize.net to Your Form #

Go to Everest Forms → All Forms and open the form you want to accept Authorize.net payments on (or create a new form).

1. In the form builder, open Fields → Payment Fields.
2. Drag the Payment Gateway field onto your form.
3. Click the Payment Gateway field to open its settings on the left.
4. In the Gateways section, make sure the Authorize.net toggle is turned on.

When a visitor selects Authorize.net on your form, a card entry box appears automatically — no extra setup needed.

Add what you’re charging for

Set the price on a single item. You can customize it even further by changing its features. Choose between Field to fit your payment forms better

Field	Use it when…
Single Item	You’re selling one product or service at a fixed price
Single Item (User Defined)	You want visitors to enter their own amount — great for donations
Multiple Choice	Visitors pick one option from a list (e.g. Small, Medium, Large)
Checkbox	Visitors can select more than one item at the same time
Subscription Plan	Visitors choose a recurring billing plan (monthly, yearly, etc.)
Total	Shows the running total of everything selected — always add this for multi-item forms

Accepting a One-Time Payment #

For a simple payment form — like selling a product or accepting a donation — here’s all you need:

1. Add the Payment Gateway field and make sure Authorize.net is turned on.
2. Add a Single Item field and set your price.
3. Add a Total field so visitors can see what they’ll be charged.
4. Add an Email field — Authorize.net needs an email to send the payment receipt.
5. After clicking Save, copy the generated shortcode and embed it in an existing or newly created page or post.

When a visitor selects Authorize.net and submits the form, they enter their card details on the form and are charged immediately. You'll see the payment in your Authorize.net Dashboard and under Everest Forms → Entries.

Accepting Recurring Payments (Subscriptions) #

Use this if you want to charge visitors automatically on a schedule — for example, every month or every year.

The Subscription Plan field lets visitors choose between different plans — for example, Monthly vs Annual.

• For Authorize.net subscription payments, add the Payment Gateway field to the form and ensure that Authorize.net is enabled.
• Use the dropdowns to map Authorize.Net fields to your form. Email is required, while other fields like Payment Description, First Name, Last Name, Company Name, and Billing Address are optional.
• Then, in the form builder, go to Fields → Payment Fields and drag Subscription Plan into your form.
• Click the field to open its settings. By default it has 3 plan options — edit the label and price for each.
• To add more plans click the + button; to remove one click the x button.
• To pre-select a plan, click the circle next to that option.
• To add product images to each plan, turn on Use image choices and upload an image per plan.

Add a trial period #

You can let new subscribers try your service for free before their first charge.

1. Click the Subscription Plan field to open its settings.
2. Turn on Enable Trial Period.
3. Set the length — days, weeks, months, or years.

Add an expiry date #

If your subscription should stop automatically on a specific date, turn on Enable Expiry Date and pick the date from the calendar.

Send Extra Customer Details to Authorize.net #

By default, Authorize.net receives the payment amount and email. You can also send the visitor’s name, phone number, address, and a transaction description. This makes it easier to identify payments in your Authorize.net Dashboard.

1. Click on the Payment Gateway
2. Go to Gateways → Authorize.net and click on the accordion.
3. Use the dropdowns to match each Authorize.net field (Payment Description, Payment Recepit Mail, Email Subscriptions , First Name, Last Name, Company Name, Billing Address) to the matching field on your form.
4. Click Save.

Finishing Up #

1. Click Save in the top right of the form builder.
2. Embed the form directly into a page:
   • Existing page — open the page, paste the shortcode where you want the form to appear, and update the page.
   • New page — create a new page, paste the shortcode, and publish it.
3. Alternatively, copy the shortcode located beside the Save button, then add a Shortcode block to any page and paste the shortcode into that block.
