Everest Forms comes with a built-in AI form builder that lets you describe the form you need in plain English and instantly generates it — no manual field dragging required. You can refine the form through a chat interface, preview it in real time, and insert it into your site with a single click.
Requirements #
Before using the AI form builder, make sure the following are in place:
- Everest Forms (free version) installed and activated
- Your site is running PHP 7.4+ and WordPress 6.0+
Accessing the AI Form Builder #
To open the AI form builder, go to Everest Forms → Add New from your WordPress dashboard.

On the form creation screen, you will see two options:
- Start From Scratch — opens the standard blank form builder
- Create with AI — opens the AI-powered form creation screen
Click Create with AI to proceed.

Creating Your Form with AI #
Step 1: Describe Your Form #
On the AI form builder screen, you’ll see a prompt input area at the center of the page. Type a plain-English description of the form you need.

Example prompts:
- “Create a contact form with name, email, phone, and a message field.”
- “I need a job application form with personal details, work experience, and a file upload for CV.”
- “Build a customer feedback survey with rating fields and a comment box.”
You can be as specific or as general as you like. The AI will infer the appropriate field types, labels, and layout from your description.

Step 2: Review the AI-Generated Form #
After you submit your prompt, the AI generates the form and displays a real-time preview on the right side of the screen. The left panel shows the AI’s response explaining the form structure it created.
The preview reflects the actual form as it will appear to your users — including field labels, placeholders, and layout.

Note: The form preview is for review only. No form is saved to your site until you click Use This Form.
Refining Your Form #
Chatting with AI to Make Changes #
If the generated form doesn’t match your needs exactly, you can request changes through the chat panel on the left. Type your refinement request and the AI will update the preview instantly.
Example refinements:
- “Add a dropdown for department selection.”
- “Remove the phone field and make email required.”
- “Split the form into two sections — personal info and project details.”
You can make as many refinements as you need before saving.
Starting Over #
To discard the current form and start fresh with a new prompt, click the ← New Prompt button in the top-left header. This clears the conversation and returns you to the initial prompt screen.
Saving and Using Your Form #
Once you are satisfied with the generated form, click the Use This Form button in the header.
This will:
- Save the form to Everest Forms with all fields, labels, and settings intact
- Open the standard form builder so you can make any further manual adjustments
- Allow you to configure email notifications, confirmations, and other settings as usual
Tip: After clicking Use This Form, you can continue editing your form in the standard builder — adding conditional logic, adjusting field settings, or enabling integrations.
Even after saving your AI-generated form, you can access the AI assistant (the sparkle button at the bottom-right of the builder) to continue refining your form.

Publishing Your Form #
After saving, you can embed the form anywhere on your site using:
- The Everest Forms block in the WordPress block editor
- The shortcode displayed on the form’s edit page (e.g.,
) - The Everest Forms widget in classic widget areas
For detailed embedding instructions, see How to Display the Forms You Have Created.
Frequently Asked Questions #

What if the AI generates the wrong field type? #
You can either ask the AI to change it via the chat panel (e.g., “Change the phone field to a dropdown”) or edit it manually after saving in the standard builder.
