The new Payment Gateway field lets you enable multiple payment options in one place, including Paypal, Stripe, Mollie, Authorize.Net, Square, and Razorpay. This allows users to choose their preferred payment method and pay the amount configured in your form.

For PayPal payments, the PayPal Standard addon lets visitors pay using their PayPal account directly from your form. After submission, they are redirected to PayPal to complete the payment securely and then returned to your site. You can collect one-time payments or set up recurring subscriptions.

Installation #

Installation of the Everest form PayPal addon requires the following steps:

1. First, you will be required to purchase the Everest Forms pro plugin.
2. Once your purchase is verified, the plugin zip file will be made available to you on your WPEverest account page.
3. Next, download the Everest form pro plugin zip as well as the PayPal Standard addon from your WPEverest account page
4. Then, you will be required to Install the Everest form pro plugin and the PayPal addon through your WordPress admin dashboard. To do this, visit Plugins → Add new → Upload and then choose the downloaded zip files. Once the plugins have been installed, activate them and your addon should be enabled on your website.

PayPal Global Settings #

The Global PayPal Settings allow you to configure PayPal parameters once and apply them to all forms, eliminating the need to set up PayPal credentials for each form. After you enable the Paypal addon, you can click on the settings icon to access the settings:

Else, navigate to the global PayPal configuration through your WordPress admin:

You can now configure the global settings for PayPal from here:

Under the PayPal Settings, configure all the details related to your PayPal account:

• PayPal Email Address: Enter your primary PayPal business account email. This email will receive all payment notifications across your site and must be registered with PayPal.
• Mode: Choose between Production and Sandbox mode.
  Production mode is used for live transactions involving real money, while sandbox mode is used for testing and development purposes.
• Payment Type: Choose between Product & Service and Donation Payments.
  Product & Service is suitable for selling products, services, or digital downloads and provides a standard PayPal checkout experience. On the other hand, Donation Payment is optimized for charitable organizations and fundraising.
• Cancel URL: Define the location to which users are redirected if they cancel the PayPal payment. So add the URL to your homepage, customer support, or anything that you feel is suitable.

Click on the Save Changes once you have completed configuring global settings for PayPal.

Add PayPal to Your Form #

Go to Everest Forms → All Forms and open the form you want to accept PayPal payments on, or create a new one.

1. In the form builder, open Fields → Payment Fields.
2. Drag the Payment Gateway field onto your form.
3. Click the Payment Gateway field to open its settings on the left.
4. In the Gateways section, make sure the PayPal toggle is turned on.
5. To use the Paypal Global Settings enable the Use Global PayPal Settings

Alternatively, if you need different settings for a specific form—for example, a different PayPal email address or cancel URL—you can override the global settings for that form from the Payment Gateway section.

Note: For PayPal to appear in both the Form Builder and on the frontend, either enable Use Global PayPal Settings or configure the PayPal settings for the form under Payment Gateway → PayPal. After enabling PayPal, complete the required PayPal settings fields.

Add what you’re charging for #

Set the price on a single item. You can customize it even further by changing its features. Choose between Field to fit your payment forms better

Field	Use it when…
Single Item	You’re selling one product or service at a fixed price
Single Item (User Defined)	You want visitors to enter their own amount — great for donations
Multiple Choice	Visitors pick one option from a list (e.g. Small, Medium, Large)
Checkbox	Visitors can select more than one item at the same time
Subscription Plan	Visitors choose a recurring billing plan (monthly, yearly, etc.)
Total	Shows the running total of everything selected — always add this for multi-item forms

Accepting a One-Time Payment #

For a simple payment form — like selling a product or accepting a donation — here’s all you need:

1. Add the Payment Gateway field to your form and ensure that PayPal is enabled. Also, make sure the PayPal configuration requirements mentioned above have been completed.
2. Add a Single Item field and set your price.
3. Click Save, then copy the shortcode and paste it on any page or post.

When a visitor selects PayPal and submits, they are redirected to PayPal to pay and then returned to your site. The payment appears under Everest Forms → Entries.

Accepting Recurring Payments (Subscriptions) #

Use this if you want to charge visitors automatically on a schedule — for example, every month or every year.

The Subscription Plan field lets visitors choose between different plans — for example, Monthly vs Annual.

• For PayPal subscription payments, add the Payment Gateway field to the form and ensure that PayPal is enabled.
• Then, in the form builder, go to Fields → Payment Fields and drag Subscription Plan into your form.
• Click the field to open its settings. By default it has 3 plan options — edit the label and price for each.
• To add more plans click the + button; to remove one click the x button.
• To pre-select a plan, click the circle next to that option.
• To add product images to each plan, turn on Use image choices and upload an image per plan.

Add a trial period #

You can let new subscribers try your service for free before their first charge.

1. Click the Subscription Plan field to open its settings.
2. Turn on Enable Trial Period.
3. Set the length — days, weeks, months, or years.

Add an expiry date #

If your subscription should stop automatically on a specific date, turn on Enable Expiry Date and pick the date from the calendar.

Finishing Up #

1. Click Save in the top right of the form builder.
2. Embed the form directly into a page:
   • Existing page — open the page, paste the shortcode where you want the form to appear, and update the page.
   • New page — create a new page, paste the shortcode, and publish it.
3. Alternatively, copy the shortcode located beside the Save button, then add a Shortcode block to any page and paste the shortcode into that block.
